2009 WSPCA K9 Trials/Competitions

The 2009 Western States Police Canine Association (WSPCA) sactioned canine trials/competitions begin this month.  These events are sponsored by various Police agencies throughout northern California. 

These events test the skills of our canine partners in various events including: narcotics detection, obedience, agility, searching and protection scenarios.  Canine trials/competitions are a great opportunity for the public to spend the day watching canines from numerous agencies perform.  The following is a list of the 2009 WSPCA Trial/Competition schedule:

April 3rd & 4th:  Hosted by Stockton Police Department

April 24th & 25th:  Hosted by Manteca Police Department

May 15th & 16th:  Hosted by Modesto Police Department

June 26th & 27th:  Hosted by Sacramento County Sheriff's Department

July 10th & 11th:  Hosted by South Lake Tahoe Police Department

August 7th & 8th:  Hosted by San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department

August 21st & 22nd:  Hosted by South San Francisco Police Department

September 11th & 12th:  Hosted by Lodi Police Department

October 2nd & 3rd:  Hosted by Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department

October 16th & 17th:  Hosted by Alameda County Sheriff's Department
